This program will show you the full scale & diversity of Croatia’s Natural Heritage, as well as take you on a voyage through the history, culture and traditions (including cuisine) of Croatia – from its north (more influenced by Austro-Hungarian heritage) to its coast, marked by centuries of Venetian rule.

SHORT ITINERARY
Arrival to Zagreb airport and rent-a-car. Drive to central Zagreb (25min-30min) and accommodation in hotel. Free time for a visit of Old Town and an optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.
Morning drive to National Park Plitvice and full day of the Upper and Lower Lakes, including a boat ride across Kozjak lake. In the afternoon, drive to Krasno Polje, a village beneath Velebit mountain. Dinner and overnight in family pansion.
Morning drive to entrance to the park and a circular hiking tour visiting Zavizan mountain hut, Velebit Botanical Garden and, for those keen on hiking, Veliki Zavizan peak 1676m. In the afternoon, return to the entrance and drive towards Starigrad Paklenica, a small coastal town beneath Southern Velebit and the canyons of National Park paklenica. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Morning start from Starigrad Paklenica towards the western approach to Velika Paklenica Canyon.
Second day in NP Paklenica.
Morning visit of National park Krka. In afternoon, drive to Sibenik and visit of Old Town (UNESCO). In early evening, drive to Trogir, for a free evening. stroll and optional dinner in the Old Town of Trogir (UNESCO).
Morning transfer to Kozjak mountain and a hike along its ridge, for nice views of Central Dalmatia coast and islands, as well as mountains that follow the coastal line. In the afternoon, visit of Old Town of Split and return to Trogir. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Drive to Split airport, return the rent-a-car. Departure.

If you are wondering if this tour (level 2-3) is for you, you can check the basic profiles and descriptions of each level to your right.
Generally, our tours are mainly level 2 or 3, this one can be characterized as ‘in between’ (L 2-3). Terrain is often rough karst, so we recommend sturdy hiking shoes, as well as flip-flops for when you reach the sea. For a pack-list or other questions, please contact our expert team.
